graphics/epdfview

  • A lightweight PDF document viewer
# cd /usr/ports/graphics/epdfview
# make install clean

editors/gedit

  • A small but powerful text editor.
# cd /usr/ports/editors/gedit
# make install clean
# cd /usr/ports/editors/gedit-plugins
# make install clean

devel/geany

  • A fast and lightweight GTK+ IDE
# cd /usr/ports/devel/geany
# make install clean
# cd /usr/ports/devel/geany-plugins
# make install clean

In order to active/disable plugin run geany and select Tools -> Plugin Manager.

geany-plugins install all the plugins by default. You can install them one by one by hand instead by using devel/geany-plugin-* ports. For instance, I only use devel/geany-plugin-treebrowser.

In order to get additional color schemes visit github. Download geany-themes-1.22.tar.bz2, extract and copy colorschemes directory to ~/.config/geany/ — then start geany and select View->Editor->Colour Schemes.

graphics/gimp

  • The GIMP is designed to provide an intuitive graphical interface to a variety of image editing operations.
# cd /usr/ports/graphics/gimp
# make install clean

You might want to have a look at graphics/gimpshop — a fork of GIMP which changes the layout of the user interface to resemble Adobe Photoshop.

graphics/inkscape

  • A program seeks to become a full featured open source SVG editor.
# cd /usr/ports/graphics/inkscape
# make install clean
